Artistic Inspirations
Sometimes I enjoy a little creative fun outside the realm of fantasy fiction... or maybe I'm just trying to live in it!
I love painting my boots! Cheap vinyl boots are fine (then it doesn't matter so much if you mess it up!) I use Jo Sonja's acrylic paint and it has outlasted the boots without cracking.
If the violin sounds like rubbish (because you only bought it for school and cost thirty bucks) don't throw it out... paint it!
This was a path I made in our old house in Perth Western Australia out of bits and pieces from the tip, pebbles, pavers and a lot of acrylic paint. Glass bricks in the center of the path had lights installed.
'Floating' garden lights hanging from black wire were made from random indoor glass light fittings.

Constructing and painting this medieval tent was one of the more ambitious projects I've taken on!
The front door of my old house boring so I painted it to look like old planks (and some were also added on top) I then painted the hallway to look like stone. They say your home is your castle!

Farmyard Dreams?
I've added some excitement to our bathroom!
I painted a firebird next to my fireplace.
The stones were created with plaster of paris, the lights are drilled gourds, and the door texture was done with acrylic texture paste. The moth wings are painted canvas.
